Photorealism—the first modern movement to assert reliance on photography as a crucial part of the artistic process—has been an influential force on the art scene since the late 1960s. Photorealists work painstakingly from photographs to create startlingly realistic paintings, and where they once used film for gathering information, they now rely on digital technology, which has vastly expanded the amount of detail that can be captured. Photorealism in the Digital Age, a solo exhibition of recent photorealist paintings by New York-based Israeli artist Yigal Ozeri. The exhibition features works from the collections of the Eileen S. Kaminsky Founation,

Richard Massey and Louis K. Meisel, who coined the term Photorealism in the late 1960s. Ozeri is one of the most significant Photorealist painters today. He is known for his large-scale cinematic portraits of young women who appear caught between the natural world and a dreamlike state. Ozeri relies on digital photography as source material, and at first glance, his meticulous paintings appear photographic. Yet, through his heartfelt quest to convey his muses' spirit, he adds the depth of allegoric space that distinguishes the painting process, creating work that transcends the fleeting moments captured.

Honey Pot Performance is a multidisciplinary Afro-diasporic performance collective committed to chronicling feminist and fringe subjectivities amidst the pressures of contemporary global life. Inspired by performance studies, black feminist discourse and sociology, HPP enlists modes of creative expressivity to examine the nuances of human relationships including the ways we negotiate identity, belonging and difference in our lives and cultural memberships. Dismantling the vestiges of oppressive social relationships is part of the work.

Through performance, HPP emphasizes everyday ways of valuing the human.

a/systemic: intersections, dislocations, and subversions presents a selection of artworks engaging with and exploring the boundaries of systems that exist both within and outside of formal art making. Although systems help to structure information, impose order, and define frameworks, the artworks in this exhibition refute this more static notion of "system" and instead investigate moments of slippage: formally or conceptually, they fracture expectations, challenge established meanings, or dissolve the barriers between otherwise disparate concepts.

In articulating the in-between spaces within conventionally closed networks, these works echo our own efforts to come to terms with the multivalence of contemporary life.
