PHOTOREALISM
ON VIEW THROUGH FEBRUARY 2012
PRESENTED BY THE EILEEN S.
KAMINSKY FAMILY FOUNDATION
AND MANA CONTEMPORARY
The Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation, housed within Mana Art Center, presents a major survey of photorealism from art collector and author Louis K. Meisel, who coined the term "photorealism" in 1969. The movement emerged in the late 1960s as a generation of artists broke from art world tradition by unapologetically using photography to create large-scale realist works. Food and refreshments will be served.
